Mitchell Ridge Trail

Two other fairly strenuous hikes were the Listening Rock Trail at Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia (see the Listening Rock Trail post) and the Mitchell Ridge Trail at Pike Lake State Park in Ohio with the latter trail in quite poor shape with lots of trees down and the trail in the process of growing shut. Also, beware of poison ivy everywhere on the latter trail along with warnings posted for ticks. I was disappointed in this trail for the energy spent getting to the top of the ridge without any view whatsoever (except for what can be seen through the trees) and for the condition of the trail, which I took a shower afterwards to clean off any urushiol I may have contacted on the way back down. Following are the pictures from this hike; to see all the hikes from my most recent trip, go here.
