Douthat State Park

 

Douthat State Park in Virginia is tucked in a valley about 6 miles from Cliftondale Park or 8 miles from Clifton Forge. Despite being close to nearby towns, this is a rather quiet place to get away from the noise of the city. I imagine it is a bit busier in the summer, although I certainly didn't mind it this way.
