#Project365: Special Issue: Bannack, Montana

This special edition will embark on a series of pictures from a well-preserved ghost town in Montana: Bannack. Bannack has an interesting history which part of can be read here.
Like most ghost towns, Bannack began as a mining town. Part of what makes Bannack so interesting is the connection to Henry Plummer, Bannack's notorious sheriff (read here) along with the Montana Vigilantes.

Today, Bannack remains fairly quiet with the exception of climate change and flooding. Part of Bannack was severely damaged in 2013 and flooding occurred again this year. Sadly, part of the town was off-limits due to construction to prevent further problems from flash flooding:

Still, this left a large part of the town to discover. Many buildings are open to the public, so one can walk through them and even go upstairs in several. Here are several of the buildings:

More of the town's structures and an inside peek at rooms and furnishings tomorrow!
